"Sensei Tom Everett is definitely one of the most knowledgeable karate practitioners I have ever had the pleasure on knowing. He has been promoted to sixth degree black belt in two different major karate styles, Okinawan Goju-ryu, and Koryu Uchinadi Kenpo-jutsu . Mr. Everett, not only works excellent kata, he has a unique understanding of effective karate application and how it can be applied in crucial self defense situations.
Over the past fifteen years, Mr. Everett has developed his business into a first rate martial arts training facility. He is very active in community service and trains several local and federal law enforcement officers in both karate and Jiu-Jitsu."

Sensei Everett's interest in martial arts began in 1972 when, at the age of seven, he read books on Judo and Karate. He spent the next 15 years training at a number of gyms, developing his skills.
From 1984-1987 Sensei Everett trained with Sensei John T. Quanders while they where stationed together in the US Army.
In 1987, Sensei Everett meet Sensei David Overstreet who introduced him to Okinawa karate training, including kata (formal drills), history, philosophy, and kobudo (weapons). During the next 11 years, Sensei Everett achieved a number of significant accomplishments, including several State and National championships in Kata, Kumite, and Kobudo as well as induction into the World Martial Arts Hall Of Fame as a weapons expert in 1992. The impact that Sensei Overstreet made in Mr. Everett set him on a path to find the way in which the martial arts was originally practiced. Sensei Overstreet's dedication and friendship helped him to achieve that goal.
